Campaigns
The Holburne Museum is an independent charity that receives no regular government or local council funding. Every donation, trust grant, business sponsorship and membership subscription helps us to stay free-to-enter and remain Bath’s Art Museum for everyone.
We are very fortunate to have a strong group of supporters in our Patrons, Friends, Corporate Members and our newly launched group the Holburne Contemporaries. Together their support helps to raise much needed core funding that underpins all the work of the Holburne from our enthralling exhibitions to our learning and community activities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, from our curatorial salaries to our annual maintenance costs. A list of our core supporters can be found here.
On top of our core fundraising work from time-to-time we launch one-off campaigns to fund specific projects such as acquisitions, education projects, and our recent £100,000 conservation fund appeal. The most significant campaign the Museum ever launched was our highly successful £11.2million development that restored our Grade I Listed building and created Eric Parry’s stunning modern extension.
Importantly, these fundraising campaigns allow you, the donor, to choose exactly where you want your support to go.
