colourscape

Back by popular demand, the Colourscape Moonorooni is returning to our front lawn to bathe all ages in a kaleidoscope of colour. Inflatable interconnected chambers flooded with intensely coloured light allow you to experience colours that you might not even be able to name. Colourscape is a delightful sensory experience that has been described as like flying in, or breathing in colour, or like being wrapped in a rainbow.

Presented by Eye Music Trust, Colourscape will feature a programme of contemporary music each weekend.

Sponsored by Monkton Combe Prep and Pre-Prep

Last year Holburne Museum and Eye Music Trust presented the first Colourscape Festival to take place in Bath.  It was a huge success with sell-out audiences. This year we present the same successful format - two weekends of concerts and events and five weekdays of free-flowing workshops and performances for a family audience with our resident composer, Michael Ormiston.

All events take place in our Colourscape Moonorooni structure installed on the front lawn of the Holburne Museum.

Saturday 17th
Stevie Wishart Hurdy-Gurdy Ensemble perform with Hurdy-Gurdy, flutes, panpipes and harpsichord.

Sunday 18th
Will Menter plays on invented instruments with dancer Tanya Richam-Odoi

Monday 19th - Friday 23rd
Michael Ormiston - free-flowing performances and workshops for families.  Come and join in the music and colour.

On Wednesday 21 August, Michael Ormiston will give a concert of Mongolian Overtone Singing at 4.15pm. Tickets are £10.
