MUSEUMS AT NIGHT
Celebrate the gala launch of Ghosts in the Garden with a night at the Museum. It’s your chance to explore the Holburne out of hours with an evening of spine-tingling ghost stories in the galleries, the spectacle of a hot air balloon glow and encounters with extraordinary characters from the Garden’s past.
Museums at Night is Culture24's festival of inspiring after hours cultural events in museums, galleries and heritage sites.
Our event will run from 6-10pm with the Museum galleries closing at 9pm.
The hot air balloon will be inflated on the Museum's back garden from 6pm onwards (subject to operating under safe weather conditions) and will attempt a glow at dusk (approx. 9pm onwards).
Three storytellers from Fire Springs, (Anthony Nanson, Kirsty Hartsiotis and Kevan Manwaring) will be telling spine tingling ghost stories in the Museum Galleries at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
The whole museum will be open between 6-9pm. The cafe will be open all evening with refreshments for sale.
Costumed characters, including Mr James Graham, pioneer balloonist of the 1820s will be on hand to assist you with your Ghosts in the Garden experience.
