Celebrate light at the darkest time of the year with our annual lantern procession. Join in or watch the dazzling spectacle of hundreds of hand-made withy and tissue lanterns being carried through the streets of Bath to the sound of a world music beat.

Join in or simply enjoy the spectacle of this year's Holburne Lantern Procession. Feast your eyes on our food themed procession as our dinner party of withy and tissue lanterns dazzle and delight as they travel through Bath.

Holburne Lantern Procession 2012

The Procession Thursday 28 November 2013
Assemble at the Holburne Museum at 4.30pm

Individual lantern holders should meet at the front of the Museum.
School and Community Groups should collect their lantern from the left hand (facing) side door of the Museum and assemble to the left side and rear of the Museum.
The Procession sets off at 5pm and travels down Great Pulteney Street, through the Bath Christmas Market and ends in Parade Gardens by 7pm with a celebratory finish.

On site parking is limited on the night. Please use alternative car parks.

Lantern Kits available from 18 October from the Holburne Museum Information Desk
Cost £2 per kit

Cost £2 per lantern (including materials)
Space limited to 30 children per workshop. Please no more than 2 children per adult.
