Notes This is a  copy of an inventory of Sir William Holburne's plate (silver and silver-gilt) at 10 Cavendish Crescent, taken 24 April 1874. Sir William had died two months earlier on 17 February. The plate weighed a total of 5086 oz 11dwt and was valued at £3039 4s. 9d. The majority was kept in five plate chests. Inventories of Sir William's plate were taken in 1864, 1867, 1869, 1874 and 1886.  Although the 1867 Inventory is annotated in Sir William's hand 'Prepared for Printing', no printed versions appear to exist.
