Roughly quarto volume, half bound in green leather with gold tooling. Buff endpapers, 59 leaves (many blank) and 3 smaller loose leaves.The pages contain a mixture of drawings and watercolours. |

| Notes | This appears to be a sketchbook used by Sir William Holburne during his Grand Tour of 1824-25. A drawing of the Temple of Fortune at Palestrina is dated 1 May 1825, when, according to his passport William was in Rome (L631). Other sketches include the Bridge of Sighs, Venice, a Swiss chalet, a study of hands after Raphael and various figure studies and sketches of unidentified buildings.
