| Notes | This vase (and its pair) was made at the Chelsea porcelain factory during its 'red anchor' period (1752-8) when it is generally accepted that Chelsea productions were at their best. Although the distinctive form of the vase is derived from oriental models, the naturalistic painted decoration is influenced by pieces from the Meissen Porcelain Factory in Germany. | ||||||
