Notes This saucer and its accompanying tea bowl (C416.1) were formerly in the collection of William Beckford at Lansdown Tower, Bath. They were acquired together with a two-handled cup and two saucers by Sir William Holburne from the sale of the contents of Lansdown Tower in 1845 (L114a). Holburne evidently felt that this provenance was important enough to note in ink on the underside of the saucer. Unfortunately, the descriptions in the sale catalogue are too vague for this saucer and its accompanying bowl to be identified with certainty.
