| Notes | Alice Holburne (1766-1829), daughter of Thomas Brayne (or Brain) of Long Compton, Warwickshire, married Sir Francis Holburne in 1786. They had three daughters and two surviving sons, the younger of whom was Sir Thomas William Holburne. This miniature is an example of the kind of work that might have been purchased in Bath from a middle-ranking artist.
