Saturday 1 December 10am – 5pm
Tom Bree
Inspired by one of the techniques used to decorate the cabinets in our Secret Splendour exhibition, learn to cut wood veneer shapes with a chisel and to then arrange them into an Islamic geometric pattern formation and glue them on to a board.
Tom Bree teaches parquetry at the Princes School of Traditional Arts in London as well as on his own teaching projects in the UK and abroad. He is currently researching a PhD in which he is analysing the underlying geometric design of Wells Cathedral.
