Saturday Workshops
Workshops at the Gardener's Lodge
Our workshops return in the autumn, offering the opportunity to spend a day trying out different crafts and techniques. These workshops cover a wide range of tastes and interests, so if you haven’t tried one yet, why not ?
3rd September - Gorgeous Beads, with Patricia Brownen. Create unusual and original beads from fabric, ribbons, threads, stitch, wire, and glass beads, and make them up into necklaces or bracelets, or sew them on to accessories.
1st October - Stencilling on Fabric, with the Funky Art House. This versatile skill is adaptable to use on many everyday items - try out the techniques to produce unique designs for the home, such as a cushion cover or a set of coasters.
5th November - Needle Felting, with Helen Rushton. A very easy and sculptural form of felt making, without the mess of the traditional technique ! Ideal for complete beginners, this course will enable you to make 5 double flowers, to make up as a brooch or to sew on to a bag.
All workshops run from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm (please arrive in good time so that the workshops can start promptly at 10.00 am). Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch or make use of the new Holburne Garden Café. The charge for each workshop is £35. There may be a small charge for materials.
Classes are limited to twelve places so do send in your application promptly for workshops that appeal to you. Fees are returnable only if there is a waiting list and an administration charge of £2 will be deducted.
