Making the most of your support

Gift Aid it logo

When a UK taxpayer gives a gift of money to the Holburne Museum, they have already paid tax on that money. Because we are exempt from tax, we can claim an amount from HMRC equal to the tax you paid on that money. This repayment from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is known as Gift Aid.

How much is Gift Aid worth to the Holburne?
By asking for permission to reclaim the tax that you have already paid on your donation, you can increase the value of your gift by one quarter. So, if you make a gift of £100, we can receive an extra £25 at no cost to you. All you need to do is tick the Gift Aid It box when you make your gift.

So remember to tick the box. If you are a UK tax payer you can Gift Aid your donation and make it grow by 25% at no extra cost to you (unfortunately, gifts from a charitable trust or business accounts or through the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) are not eligible for Gift Aid).
