Who We Are

The Friends of the Holburne Museum, founded more than fifty years ago, is an independent charity whose main aim is to promote interest in the Museum. We also fundraise to support museum projects, restoration and maintenance of the Collection and the acquisition of new works of art.

At the moment we are working hard to raise £200,000 towards the Museum’s Development Project.

We are a very active group, enjoying a membership of over 1,000. There is a lively programme of cultural and social events, including visits to houses and gardens; many not normally open to the public. We organise at least one foreign excursion each year, recent destinations include India and the Veneto. Friends enjoy free admission to exhibitions and receive an award-winning dedicated Newsletter three times a year.
