CANCELLED – Michael Simpson in conversation with Mark Wallinger
- This event has passed.
To coincide with the first museum survey of his works on paper, we are delighted to announce that Michael Simpson will be in conversation with one of his greatest admirers, the artist Mark Wallinger.
Simpson’s exhibition reflects his life-long interrogation of the mechanics of painting and his obsession with the iniquities of religion. Mark Wallinger, one of the UK’s most celebrated artists, is similarly concerned with ideas of power, authority, artifice and illusion.
Wallinger won the Turner Prize in 2007, having represented the UK at the Venice Biennale in 2001 and produced the first sculpture for the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square.
