The Schantz fortepiano, acquired in 1983, is one of the highlights of the Holburne’s collection. It was made in Vienna around 1795, and is exceptionally rare, only four such instruments have survived.
We have invited the internationally respected keyboard artist Nathaniel Mander, to play the Schantz for us this summer – he has chosen to play some of Mozart’s most appealing and enchanting sonatas and variations. This is a rare opportunity to hear the fortepiano come to life, with an exceptionally talented musician.
Tickets are £20 each Thursday 18 August 2022, doors open at 7pm, the concert will begin at 7.30pm
