This concert explores the music world that Thomas Gainsborough experienced during his Bath years (1759-74). Gainsborough was fascinated not only by musicians but also by their instruments – often acquiring their instruments under the mistaken belief that he would be able to produce genius if he owned them! Our concert includes songs, cantatas, instrumental solos and sonatas on original and reconstructed period instruments that would have been familiar to Gainsborough, and which were heard at concerts, both private and public, that he attended in Bath.

£15 (includes entry to Gainsborough and the Theatre from 6-7pm, Garden Café open for drinks, 6-7pm)
