Lynn Chadwick made his home in Lypiatt Park, a Grade I listed building on the edge of Stroud. One of the giants of c.20th sculpture, Chadwick’s unique and singular work spanned 50 years and he created over a thousand pieces. His presence in the area has left a legacy of fine craftsmanship and reputation for excellence with Stroud becoming home to many established and worldfamous artists. Pangolin Foundry was created in Chalford valley because of Chadwick. It is now one of the country’s leading sculpture foundries, casting for an international clientele, still using traditional methods and skills and priding itself on fine craftsmanship.
