Mark Clarke’s assemblage sculptures explore the notion of contemporary celebrity culture. Intended as works of latter-day folk art, his portraits of pop icons such as Madonna, Greta Thunberg, Mark Zuckerberg, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are constructed from found objects, drawing on high and low culture as well as old and new artistic traditions.
