Reimagining the Holburne’s Collection: Lab 2 – Seeing in 3D

Get up close and personal with figurines (small statues) from the museum’s collection with 3D scanning.
Learn how to 3D scan museum objects with Creative Technologist Coral Manton, then have a go at editing your scans in software using a process called ‘photogrammetry’, to create your own new content. Curator Monserrat Pis Marcos will talk to you about the figurines, who made them and how, who owned them, and how they are cared for today.
New content created will be shared on the museum’s Reimagining the Holburne’s collection website.
This Lab is best suited to people who already have some basic IT skills. Each Lab is limited to 20 people aged 16 and over. Refreshments are included.
