This talk will explore the ‘democratisation of poetry’ and look at poetry’s robust capacity to withstand immense change, looking at the deleterious effects of social media and the internet in general, and how the identity of poetry is beginning to change under pressure of huge political and social change.
Tim Liardet has produced ten collections of poetry to date, including Arcimboldo’s Bulldog: New and Selected Poems (Carcanet, 2018) and is Professor of Poetry at Bath Spa University.
