‘Julian Opie. Collected Works’ accompanied the exhibition of the same title at the Holburne Museum in Bath (summer 2014). The show continued a series of exhibition at the Holburne exploring artists and the collections. One of this country’s most important and successful contemporary artists, this was Opie’s first one person exhibition in a UK museum for over ten years. Uniquely, it brought together his own works – including some previously unseen works – with pieces from his private art collection and explored the links and resonances between the two. The text and captions in the book were written by Julian Opie, with an introduction by Sandy Nairne, Director of the National Portrait Gallery.
