What the group is:

New Mums Sanctuary is a supported creative group for mums struggling with their mental health in the post-natal period. It is part of the Holburne Museum’s larger mental health and wellbeing programme called Pathways to Wellbeing.

The group offers a warm and non-judgmental space, in which to enjoy gentle creative activity together with other mums experiencing similar challenges. The group is facilitated by experienced early years Arts practitioners Skylarks Creativity and will also have a dedicated support worker from a professional health background with lived experience of post-natal mental health difficulties. It is important to note that it is not facilitated by a therapist and is not an art therapy group.

Who is the group for?

We welcome new mums experiencing mild/moderate peri-natal mental health difficulties. Unfortunately, we cannot support people with long-term or severe mental health challenges or who are involved with social services for child protection issues.

The space is only safe and suitable for pre-crawling babies.
