Fresh Art @ is an innovative partnership project that supports people with lived experience of mental health issues (and carer’s) to create artwork to enliven NHS environments. It promotes positive wellbeing by building beneficial connections between health and social care services, museum settings and the arts.
For the past six years The Holburne Museum, Bath Preservation Trust and The American Museum have welcomed Fresh Art participants to come and explore their collections and be inspired!
The art work created in the three museums has gone on to be displayed in various health care settings such as Hill View Lodge at The Royal United Hospital and Ward 4, a dementia assessment unit at St Martins Hospital. The new art work enlivens clinical settings for patients, staff and visitors.
We continue to work in partnership with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Trust, Creativity Works and Sirona Health and Social Care on this ground breaking project.
